iPod to PC Music Transfer Software for the Technologically Challenged

Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

You have most likely joined the countless others who have been made to feel small and meek when compared to their stubborn little iPod. When attempting to make it less moody, you have probably hit a snag or three. iPods are a joy to have, andvery handy for anyone who doesn’t want to be away from home without all of their favorite videos, songs, skins, and pictures tucked neatly into their pocket or purse. One of the problems with the iPod is that it lacks versatility.

Media Widget music transfer software allows the versatility that iPod owners seek at a very affordable price, and the user receives so much more than just the ability to transfer your iPod to your PC. Once you install the Media Widget iPod software on up to three computers per licensed program, you will be offered a simple way to copy iPod to PC, PC to iPod, iPod to iTunes, and iTunes to iPod. All of these capabilities combined, however, equal only half of the power that you have invested in, because there is more.

Media Widget allows you to create media lists and edit them right from your iPod, and you can do this on any computer of your choosing, without having to download the media onto the PC or laptop. This feature basically turns any computer into an iPod playing device, complete with recovery, restore, and delete backup, so that if you ever run into complete failure, you already have all of your favorite media saved on the Media Widget.

Certainly not least of the benefits that you will reap from this software is the ability that you will now have to plug your iPod into any computer you wish to. There is no limit to the number of computers that you can use to charge, listen to, or transfer media to and from your iPod.

Finding Good IPod Transfer Software

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

The IPod is one of the most popular ways that people store, share and transport their music, pictures and other files. For some users, the process of transferring files to the IPod is clunky and not at all intuitive. The manufacturer-produced software for the purpose is oftentimes far more limited in its abilities than is desirable by users. To that end, there are versions of IPod transfer software that make this process much easier. A few basic features define a good product and a few more excellent and innovative features define a truly great product for the end-consumer.

The basic features that should be included in any transfer software include an easy-to-use interface that makes moving a file from one place to another more convenient than doing so manually; a method of organizing and sorting files that is intuitive and useful and a way to copy files from the player to the computer, or vice versa, that is simple to understand. More advanced features include backup capability that is useful and secure; the ability to interface with one’s PC in a way that makes transfer a one-touch process; and the ability to work with files other than music such as photos and text.

The IPod was originally conceived as an entertainment device but has expanded in its usefulness and applications over time. While the devices may have improved, it’s generally more useful to take advantage of a third-party software suite to exploit all the possibilities of the device. The manufacturer software tends to be stuck in the past in that regard, allowing little more than the purchasing and copying of music while the third-party products on the market allow a user to expand the capability of their IPod far beyond that of a simple music player.
